The Honkai Star Rail 4.3 livestream, conducted on May 22, 2026, offered several key information regarding the upcoming update. Players caught a glimpse of the next featured character, Mortenax Blade, along with the events, rewards, and other content heading to the game.

Honkai Star Rail 4.3 anniversary livestream overview
New character


Mortenax Blade, revealed via the Honkai Star Rail 4.3 drip marketing campaign, is the only new character in the next patch. The rest of the banners are reserved for reruns. Mortenax Blade hails from the Fire element.
Unlike his counterpart, Blade, he treads on the Path of Nihility. The upcoming story will unveil how he unlocks the new power.
Gacha banners


As specified, the Honkai Star Rail 4.3 banners will feature multiple rerun characters, along side Mortenax Blade:
First phase
- 5-star: Mortenax Blade and Yao Guang
- 4-star: Sampo, Luka, and Tingyun
Second Phase
- 5-star: Cyrene and Phainon
- 4-star: March 7th, Arlan, and Yukong
The corresponding Light Cone banner will feature the signature option of the 5-star characters. You can summon Mortenax Blade’s weapon, Reforged in Hellfire, during version 4.3.
New Trailblaze mission, maps, and enemies
A new Trailblaze mission titled “The Lethe Below the Living” will be available during patch 4.3. It will further the narrative of Planarcadia and explore Blade’s development after he absorbs Shuhu’s flesh in the latest chapter. His transformation into Mortenax Blade is potentially linked to the recent event.
The upcoming story quest will further unlock the Inkford Hermitage map and introduce new enemies. The special program has showcased two hostile entities: Murata Graphia, Founding Artist and God-Devourer Offspring.
New materials and Relic sets
Two new Relic sets are heading to the Honkai Star Rail 4.3 update. You can obtain them from the Path of Insight Cavern of Corrosion:
- As Navigator Isee Sees It
- Divine-Querying Master Smith
Additionally, HoYoverse will also introduce the following character development materials in the upcoming patch:
- “Sneering Harlequin”
- “Cosmic Sandpit” Series
- “Omnicolor, Fool’s Own” Series
Fresh events and rewards


Events are a prominent source of Stellar Jades in Honkai Star Rail. These are the ones announced for version 4.3:
- Pixel Plane Rumble
- Wispae Amusement Park
- Gift of Odyssey
In addition, the officials will dispatch the Gift of the Tempered Blade event, where players can obtain the Karmic Fire of the Distant Shore outfit for free. They must summon Mortenax Blade to unlock the cosmetic.
Quality-life-update and other features
Here are the QoL updates for HSR 4.3:
- Starward Mode will be added to all the recurring endgame contents. It is a new difficulty mode comprising a three-stage challenge. Clearing each gameplay will reward an additional 100 Stellar Jade.
- HoYoverse will add a Home Screen widget feature on mobile allowing players to check game-related information.
- New permanent missions will be added to Daily Training. Trailblazers can also claim all the rewards using Fuel Vouchers or Deep Immersifiers.
- Cross-device sync will expand across various game settings.
Honkai Star Rail x Fate second collab announced


HoYoverse has announced the second Honkai Star Rail x Fate collab during the version 2.4 livestream. It features two new characters: Rin Tohsaka and Gilgamesh. Players will be able to obtain the latter for free. The collaboration will officially launch on July 24, 2026.
